Matthew L. Iorio, MD, a hand and wrist surgeon on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, has joined the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton Center for Specialty Care announced Peter Healy, hospital president and CEO.
Dr. Iorio’s clinical interests include wrist fractures, hand trauma, arthritis and peripheral nerve surgery. He joins hand and wrist surgeon Jennifer Green, MD, in providing subspecialty hand and wrist evaluations and treatments in the hospital’s Center for Specialty Care.
Dr. Iorio received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Washington.
“We are very fortunate to have a surgeon of Dr. Iorio’s training join our growing hand and wrist surgery program in the Center for Specialty Care,” said Peter Healy. “With his addition, we are now able to offer the community convenient access to two hand and wrist subspecialist surgeons locally, without having to travel out-of-the-area.”
A member of Harvard Medical Faculty Practice at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Iorio maintains Monday office hours in the hospital’s Center for Specialty Care. The office telephone number is 617-667-7673.
