Financial Information

After your pre-admission interview, information about your insurance coverage will be forwarded to the Patient Accounts Department.

If you are uninsured, you may be asked to make a deposit when you arrive at the Patient Registration Department, and then visit the cashier’s office on the first floor to resolve any remaining financial obligations upon discharge. Depending on your financial situation, BID-Milton can help you apply for insurance benefits through available state insurance plans that will pay for health care for people who meet state income guidelines.

You may receive several bills for your health care services – one for hospital care and separate itemized bills for the services of your physician, anesthesiologists, radiologists, or other specialists. For more information, call our Billing Department at 617-696-9300.

MassHealth
Depending on your financial situation, BID-Milton can help you apply for MassHealth benefits. MassHealth is a program of the state's Division of Medical Assistance that will pay for health care for certain low and medium income individuals under age 65.
